Since they're the last mile carrier for my directtv dsl, they seem a logical choice. Anyone use SBC, and if so, is it good, bad etc...?

I've used sbc for 2 years now and my dsl has ran fine, pretty much.I did have a problem with the signal on sundays though or high traffic times for some reason for about 6 months though and they where very slow to fix the problem, finally they did fix it and ever since ive had no problems at all...There tech support will blow you off constantly, from what i have experienced.Hopefully your dsl doesnt have any problems like i did.

Edited by [LoD]kurupt on 12/28/02 05:47 AM.

That's who I have used for nearly two years. I can count the number of downtimes I have had in that time on one hand, and the speed is very consistent. Any time I have needed service, I didn't have a problem. Once a tech even helped talk me through fixing a problem knowing I had a router hooked up (most ISP's won't even talk to you till you unplug it and plug your modem directly into the wall). I use my shit 24/7 as you know, and I can say I'm very satisfied.

-Rolo

"He who would sacrifice freedom for security deserves neither." -Ben Franklin

I switched from Adelphia because their service was complete crap. After making the switch, there were very few times that my connection went down.

Very reliable.

Edited by [LoD]Tenshi on 12/29/02 04:58 AM.

And look at the Pacific Bell/SBC reviews.

You will notice out of around 760 reviews, only 30 are positive.

----------------------------
[color:red]How 'bout "We don't give a fuck?"
