That's true. The bigger and tougher the dog, the more damage it's gonna do if it bites. I don't think anyone would rather be bitten by a large breed dog than a chihuaha. That's why I always caution my friends with small kids on rescuing adult pit bulls. In many instances you simply don't know what the dog went through before it became a rescue.

My first one I had when I moved out on my own was awesome with people and loved children but just didn't like other dogs, unfortunately. Some of em are like that. All the other ones I have had have been great with other dogs.

Pitbulls and Parolees is a good show and I like that they are so good about trying to make sure the dogs go to the right environment for the specific dog that's being adopted.
