Obs]we had a pit bull boxer mix and it was the most gentle dog i have ever seen. my opinion is how they are raised and how much exposure they had with strangers. You do it wrong with that breed and it will eat your face.
That's true. The bigger and tougher the dog, the more damage it's gonna do if it bites. I don't think anyone would rather be bitten by a large breed dog than a chihuaha. That's why I always caution my friends with small kids on rescuing adult pit bulls. In many instances you simply don't know what the dog went through before it became a rescue.
My first one I had when I moved out on my own was awesome with people and loved children but just didn't like other dogs, unfortunately. Some of em are like that. All the other ones I have had have been great with other dogs.
Pitbulls and Parolees is a good show and I like that they are so good about trying to make sure the dogs go to the right environment for the specific dog that's being adopted.
