Interestingly, Teriya just linked me this story on FB today. WTF are the lawmaker in MS thinking? I mean forget the issue of whether or not you hate pitbulls, this would open a GAPING hole in the 4th amendment protections of MS citizens. Anyway, this article pretty much says verbatim what I said in my post above about there being multiple breeds classified under the term pitbull and that people mistakenly identify all the time.

Tell the idiots at Facebook the bill is dead as of January 27. It's very telling that you don't even read the articles you link. Had you of spent the extra 1 minute to finish the article you would have known the bill was rejected. But don't let actual facts get in the way of trumpeting your constitutional rights. March on freedom fighter, march on.

Another shining example of Facebook rotting the minds of gullible.

we had a pit bull boxer mix and it was the most gentle dog i have ever seen. my opinion is how they are raised and how much exposure they had with strangers. You do it wrong with that breed and it will eat your face.

We did a test one night by opening the front door and running into the house yelling to see what our pit would do... fucker just ran at full speed into a wall and then dove under the bed.

That's true. The bigger and tougher the dog, the more damage it's gonna do if it bites. I don't think anyone would rather be bitten by a large breed dog than a chihuaha. That's why I always caution my friends with small kids on rescuing adult pit bulls. In many instances you simply don't know what the dog went through before it became a rescue.

My first one I had when I moved out on my own was awesome with people and loved children but just didn't like other dogs, unfortunately. Some of em are like that. All the other ones I have had have been great with other dogs.

Pitbulls and Parolees is a good show and I like that they are so good about trying to make sure the dogs go to the right environment for the specific dog that's being adopted.

My mom showed dogs for over 20 years, and told me there are 3 dogs in this world you would never want to own. Pit bull, Rottweiler, Doberman. These breeds can be loving, loyal, great dog's but sometimes the strangest things can make them mentally "snap" and eat yours or anothers face.

I an a total dog person. I have met Pit's and Rot's I really like and hung out with regularly , but I will never own one.

To all you virgins, thanks for nothing.
