If you carry a hammer with the sole purpose of using it as a weapon, then you are in violation of Penal Code 16590 California law. Under no circumstance can you legally carry a hammer for protection, but with the right permits you can carry a gun.
Ultimately, hammers do have more restrictions placed on them then guns. If you don't believe me, then go to your local PD and ask for a concealed hammer permit.

You posted the code section, not me. I linked you only the exact text of the code section you quoted, nothing more. I guess that's a weak link in your world. Uh, okay? It's not my fault the code section did not say what you said it did.
Maybe you're quoting something from case law? Because I can't even find your quote in your last post anywhere in the section of statutes you linked, unless my F3/find function is broke in my chrome. That's fine and all. Case law helps interpret statutes but for future reference, if you mention case law, you should cite it.
Also, unless you're carrying around a fisher price My First Hammer, I wouldn't consider a hammer to be short and easily concealed. It sure as shit wouldn't fit in the pockets of any pants I own. Maybe if I was a cholo with those big ass shorts....

Well most of us dont wear pink tank tops and skinny jeans vermi. I could easily slide a hammer into my pants. The intellect in you that points to putting a hammer in your pocket speaks volumes tho.
