Anther step, IMO as long as you not a convicted criminal you should be able to carry a firearm. Firearms are a great equalizer , take this situation:
120 pound girl goes to a night club to a have drinks and 3 beat necks decide to get rapey and follow her out of the club with a decent gun and and some training she could avoid getting thrown in the rape dungeon.
of course, you know, if the three guys have their legal firearm. How come in all these scenario's its, imagine if the victim had a gun.
And if you are going that route, looks like all 4 have their CCW and a mexican standoff occurs. She is well trained and able to draw and cut down 2 before being shot in the right nipple by the third guy. He is scared so he keeps firing, drops the gun and runs. Police later catch the guy and convict him of attempted rape/kidnapping and manslaughter. Now our taxes gotta take care of this guy for 15 years.
Seems easier just to let the rape dungeon scenario play out so i can hold on to my conservative republican taxes.

I see it simply. There are two types of people in this world. Those with the means to defend themselves (Either legally or illegally) and the necessary needed training and those without. When shit hits the fan it wont matter. Now the rule of law may fall or the rule of law may forever be in place to protect us. Either way if I'm still around I choose to always be "with" just in case...
