Sick article, agree 100%. Anyone that can relate to that article should check out Demon Souls (still holds up), Dark Souls, and Dark Souls 2. Dark Souls of the franchise is probably the best, DS2 was good but a LOT more NPC interaction and story - not as much to the game as the predecessors. They're also all really challenging with no difficulty setting, Demon Souls being the most difficult, and DS2 close behind.
I get that a lot of us don't have a whole lot of time to play games and when they do they're generally multiplayer. All 3 of those games have a PK element, and all 3 still have a pretty active playerbase. So if you're ever wanting couch time with your PS3 and something good to play, try them out.
