I think you lack an understanding of how your own government works.
There are all kinds of restrictions to all kinds of constitutional freedoms. Ever hear of the stop and frisk rule in New York? Don't you think that violates the 4th amendment? Are the courts that ruled that this was okay filled with people whose ideas are logically inconsistent with the constitution?

I don't think so. I think the courts, who are presided over by judges with degrees in law and years of experience did their best to weigh the pros and cons of stop and frisk and found the pros to carry more weight. Do I agree with stop and frisk? No, I do not. I think it's a pretty clear violation of the 4th amendment. Am I going to take up a flag and join some group to fight against it? No, I am not because I don't care enough about it to bother with it. Does that make my views logically inconsistent?

Fair enough. I agree those quotes are inconsistent. To be fair though, the original quote was made in the context legally permitted owners of guns being denied concealed carry rights. Now we're talking about crazy people and people who have made threats of violence against others.

I came so close to carrying out the Final Solution but a few of you had to meddle in my efforts to purify the forums. It's a difficult thing to kill because of the seductive allure of work boredom and the sexiness of the gun issue. If this were anywhere else, I'd have just bombarded the thread with Spider Man memes or girls with guns pics.

Regulating people's behavior doesnt work, never has.

Let's be clear here, nobody is for gun control, what the anti-gunners are for is having guys with guns (government) say who can and who cant have guns with the threat of violence (by the use of guns) for non-compliance. Thats what people like Rok are for.

Love how if this conversation is switched to the violation of privacy (the NSA) most democrats and liberals are all up in arms along with most republicans.. They dont want govt intrusion but switch back to gun control and liberals and dems are crying for govt intervention. Hilarious.

I think there's a pretty big difference between someone who might be crazy and someone who has a documented history of mental illness. Who's inconsistent in their approach now?
