This is why I want cops to be able to defend themselves. I want them using any gear available to prevent them from being killed.
The issue is that you maniacs think the current reality in the United States is a V for Vendetta-like movie. You want cops to have the same exact gear as the citizenry? What the fuck is your premise even? That cops shouldn't exist? That we should abolish laws, and settle everything amongst ourselves with guns? You should really consider moving to Somolia.
This is another one of those Libertarian issues that sounds good on paper. "We don't like police brutality." - "Sometimes the law doesn't work as intended and is abused." - "Why is there an armored military vehicle in my neighborhood?" These are all valid and rational complaints, but once you guys start spewing out solutions your entire argument fills with holes.
