It was Fox news that propped this guy up to hero status. Being that Fox is the mouth piece of the republican party they have no one to blame but themselves.

This is reminiscent of when the Republicans courted the Evangelicals in the 80's. It didn't turn out good then and it won't turn out good now. Libertarians took the biggest egg on the face on this.
