This is starting to bother me because there seems to be a lot more interest in some fucking rancher from bumfuck Nevada than what we're actually doing day to day, so I'll be blunt even though I have 0 fucks to give about this.
It is not disputed that Cliven bundy has stolen approximately 1 million dollars worth of value (in what I assume is the form of a license to use someone else's property, I'm sure Sonya covered this but I'm not going to read 30 pages) from an organization he agreed to pay. By equity they are entitled to 1 million dollars in compensation. There's other legal shit here but apparently this has already been to court and if they had a defense or counterclaim, they would have raised it.
There's nothing libertarian about supporting Bundy. Libertarians favor property rights, it's just the usual reflexively anti-government Paulbot libertarians making their noise. The alternative dispute seems to be that the government has been conducting itself poorly in getting reimbursed. I assume this is some extension about criticism of government police powers expanding since 9/11. These are legitimate criticisms, but it's counterproductive to bring them up in this situation since the BLM is actually justified in taking his property. Just wait a fucking month and there will be some more suitable abuse of power story for you activists to get excited about.
