I should say it's my prediction. There was talk in the last book about Ned's sister shacking up with one of the targaryen's and it was said elsewhere that her last words to her brother were for him to keep him safe.
As for the fire god stuff, whenever Melisandre has looked into the flames to see what shenanigans Stanis will get up to, she sees Jon's face. She misinterprets this as a premonition of Jon's importance to Stanis, who she things is R'hollar. But it is showing the identity of R'hollar, since it is him she is trying to view in the flames.
