Sorry for all the typos -- god damned autocorrect on smarth phones pisses me off. When are they going to make a phone that accepts the fact I like to curse?

Also, all you fuckers crying "DUDE DIDN'T PAY HIS TAXES, FUCK HIM" need to do your research before you open your mouths.

The guy "stopped paying taxes" over changes to the grazing rights due to alleged "protection of endangered desert tortoises". They began demanding this fee from him in 1993 on the grounds that his cattle were grazing on protected tortoise land.

Rolo, as usual, has the most logical and simple post in the thread. Want to see something funny Rolo?

http://www.times-standard.com/news/ci_23938764/even-desert-tortoise-has-deal-budget-cuts

So the BLM changes rules to protect a tortoise, then claims its going to euthanize this same tortoise due to budget cuts, but then it spends God knows how much money to send armed agents out on a crusade to enforce their tax collection? Hrmmm...that seems a little fishy doesn't it?

Well hey boys and girls, check this out:

http://m.shalereporter.com/industry/article_0de547ba-8ca4-11e2-ab4e-0019bb30f31a.html

Hrmmm...well that's down right interesting ins't it. And how odd that the BLM must kill the very tortoises it allegedly sought to protect, the very same reason for which the levied the fees to begin with, yet they are raking in millions from oil/gas leases ON THE SAME LAND and are able to gear their troops up with tactical gear and nice SUV's. Are you all starting to see how this guy might be a little pissed off about all this?

I suggested you all do your research, but instead, Blazzen and Rok, you guys want to spout off about taxes without really looking into the facts of the issue at hand.

But I guess I'm just a libertarian quack spouting propaganda right?

Yes Sonya, the agents were obeying a court order. Yes, those agents had the legal right to do their job. However, can you now begin to see why this family might feel like they are suffering injustice at the hands of the federal government and want to resist the results of the verdict?

Let's hear your lawyer bullshit justification for that one bro.

Think "hillbilly farmer fuckface" might be a little pissed after he watched the cop do that to his aunt?

You mean the woman refusing to back up and impeding the flow of traffic? Yeah, she got thrown down and arrested. Get over it, lol.

And let's assume, for purposes of argument, that the cop was unjustified. Does that give this guy the right to interfere with a court order?

All you are really advocating is that (1) cops are babysitters; (2) people have to interfere with court orders.

You have brown eyes, I know, because you are full of shit. Impeding traffic? Hah! What a crock of shit. She wasn't within 3 feet of the passing traffic you outright fucking liar. She's yelling at the vehicles and shaking her fist. Isn't that what protestors do? You actually condone that action? So a cop instead of grabbing her arm and pulling her back should approach a much smaller woman from behind and throw her ass to the ground? Is your full name Alex Turner? Was Ike your dad? GTFO with that bullshit bro.

Look at your own video. She is right up in the flow of traffic and then hillbilly fuckface later blocks it. That is what they were there to do.

Part of due process is having your day in court. They did and they lost. They can be angry all they want, but when they act as they did in that video they crossed the line. Now they want to cry about it.

And "empathy" is not a defense. Nor is disagreeing with the order.

I have several times. I suggest you get your vision checked. She wasn't impeding the flow of traffic in any way and suggest otherwise is nothing more than you trying to justify excessive force against her.

Empathy is not a defense to what exactly, sir? I only used the word empathy when I was telling Anti he should try and have some when dealing with fellow American citizens. Where exactly did I claim it was a defense to anything at all?

Disagreeing with a court order is not a defense to what exactly?

Disagreeing with a court order is absolutely a reason to peacefully assemble and protest the order. That's a right guaranteed to you by the 1st amendment.

Like I said man, do your homework. Look into the facts behind all this. I have tremendous respect for these people because at least they have the balls to stand up to an overreaching government. Like G-Fist said, most Americans wouldn't have the balls to do this.

Also, you claimed yesterday that those agents had the right to tell those people where they could protest aka exercise their 1st amendment rights. I said I thought that right was reserved for local governments. You did not answer. Do I need to go look it up? I would like to know the answer to that.

That is still, to me, the most alarming thing about the entire situation.

I'm going for a beer after work, so do not interpret any long silences as admission of defeat!
