All wonderful info & thank you.. obviously I have my CWP already here & as stated the .9 is what is used for that purpose.. Again as stated, because I am someone that was born into firearms & proper military level training with them, I should be handling a situation properly WITHOUT the use or need of it.. should it be 'needed' it SHOULD BE for nothing more than a warning shot to defuse a hot situation.. ultimately, if needed I have 100% acc in the box full squeeze at 5m out & sitting at about 75-80% acc at 10m out.
If it gets beyond that than I have either ultimately failed in my training or placed myself into a situation I should never be in. I suppose I should have made my own thread on looking into a 1911 specifically as I already have the G.45 & am happy for what it is.. still want that 1911 especially after putting in some time on 2 different Kimber 1911s.
I will not be rushing this choice at all & I am looking to get my hands on both a Sig/Colt as those were my initial choices. Springfield's are decent enough & all of my .22's are Springfield's.. especially fun little pussy rifles & pew pew cannons lol. So I'm not ruling out a Springfield yet but like you guys I first started with research & found very good things about both Sig/Colt 1911s. Just when Obs mentioned he had a Kimber that was 'perfect' I figured it was a Kimber 1911 after my experiences with one.. had to ask & got my answer
