Mofo Fly]I take it not very many of us here actually took the time to read & continue to read the glorious graphic novel known as the Walking Dead..
The show is based off of the novel with changes being made for it to be a TV show & not a comic book.. nothing unusual there.
The show is obviously a cash cow & makes AMC money enough to likely fund itself with the possibly to fund other shows to bring that network money.. why would they want to scream through all of the good comic book content that is already written for them just to have an action packed, ball tingling, emotional rollercoaster episode every week.. so they could be done with their cash cow in 4-5 seasons instead of 8 seasons?
Personally, I would rather them take it 'slow' & use that good material they can from the comic.. I would hate to see this show pull a 'Dexter' where once they ran out of the all the good book content, then the show goes really down hill as the TV writers get ahold of it.
Nope, sorry. The graphic novels are some good ideas poorly written at best. Much like the show. Some of the worst episodes of this series have been written by Kirkman, the writer of the comic.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the comics. But they are mediocre at best, good ideas with bad dialogue and barely two dimensional characters. Kinda like the show.
