Its a damn comic book & its a better comic than about 90% of what comes out of all 3 of the major comic multiverses.

I mean I am not saying I disagree with your assessment but I also don't exactly set the literary content of a COMIC to be anything above what it should be.. a fucking comic book

Its a TV show based off a comic book & its pretty fucking good.. Show me another comic book TV show that has you waiting for the next episode to come out.. name one

Then you are missing out. I can name at least a dozen books off the top of my head that are far superior to the rambling droning of that fat whale.

Walking Dead is probably in the upper 50% for quality. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the hell out of it, but Robert Kirkman and his involvement in it will keep it from becoming great. The show had a chance in the first season when they had Frank Darabont directing it (he was primarily involved in the first two episodes) but he clashed with Kirkman and the producers chose to turf him.

As for shows based on comics that are good, there really aren't any. I have high hopes for Preacher and I've heard HBO wants to do Fables, but we'll see.

Not sure what I am missing out on as I eat em all up.. I too could name a dozen or so novels that are better than Walking Dead graphic novels..

Hell you just popped one into the convo right there.. The Preacher novels were fucking epic & yes I could totally put those above the Walking Dead comics.. I too have very high hopes hopes for Preacher.

On the same lines as Preacher I would love to see a show for The Boys.. also better graphic novels than the walking dead & I think it would be easy to do a TV show on it & get people hooked into that series.. Just too many crazies & crazy not to..

I was really hoping that with the success of the Walking Dead TV show that there would be more TV shows coming out based off some of these truly epic comics..

That's the frustrating part here.. not that Walking Dead TV show moves as slow as its zombies.. but that there are sooo many even better stories to tell but it just isn't happening.

I think the "book is always better than the movie/show" is because the book allows you to imagine the story as you see fit whereas the movie/show is someone else imagination/interpretation of the visualization of the story.

Bottom line I'd rather sit on my couch, drink a beer and watch my high def, 7.1 surround sound, home theater than read a book. The latest walking dead episode was badass.

I'd like to see The Boys done as well, mainly to see them edit a lot of the crap out. There were maybe five books in there that were good and the rest were too plodding. That first book was fucking amazing though.

Supposedly someone is working on Y: The Last Man and these Marvel Netflix series sound awesome.

I still want to see a film version of The Pro. It's about a hooker who gets superpowers from an alien race. There's a scene where she sucks off the Superman-guy whose spooge shoots into orbit and takes out a plane. It was pretty satisfying.

Oh, and awesome episode.

Daryl vs tank... that was the dumbest fucking thing ever. Hey lets shoot the tank's main weapon 5 times and not hit a single person and then keep it not moving and leave the breach open! fucking facepalm.

Clearly Dave never got to read The Boys..

Shit is an awesome series that really looks at how people with super powers would really act.....

Lets be honost.. if you had all the powers of superman/thor, would you be the unknown masked crusader for good or would you do whatever the fuck you wanted, how ever you wanted to, whenever you wanted to do it, & nothing would stop you from doing it?

Think about it.. if I could give you any super power you want.. what super power would you take & how would you behave with it?

That's pretty much the bases of The Boys.. is a look into what & how we would really be if there were super powered humans.. awesome series.

I likes me my comic books

If I was Thor I would bend Natalie Portman over the nearest object and pound her box until it was a bloody mess. After that I think I would take a nap. Instant Vagina Restoration (IVR) is a necessary mutation for a woman if she wishes to pursue a relationship with a superhero. I wish more graphic novels would discuss this aspect of superhero lore instead of the constant tentical sodomy the industry is obsessed over with nowadays.

What you're looking for is western ero comix. The tentacles stuff is mostly eastern shit and has been going out since the 90s. Only reason it survive this long is to caters to stereotype. If you want the latest and hottest trend in ero graphic novels, it would be ntr.
