UFC reminds me too much like WWF, I have a difficult time not falling asleep watching UFC these days. I do enjoy watchin the highlights of what happened afterwards only when something interesting happens. I miss the old day with the old way of doin it where it started with 8 fighters(1v1,1v1,1v1,1v1),the 4 winners moved on to round 2(1v1,1v1), then winners of that moved on to the final round, ALL happened in the same night one fight after another(the ones that made it to final round were usually fucking exhausted by then haha)..and the funnest part was how unbalanced the fights usually were(weight, height, fightstyle, etc) lol

Exactly, loved it back in the day when everyone had to fight multiple fights in a day fucking IRONMAN STYLE!! It's like the democrats bought em out, more and more rules and regulations have turned it gay.
haha HEELLLL YEAAHH glad I found this gem, a compilation of Keith Hackneys old fights, the one in particular is the UFC fight in round 2 he had to fight against a big fuckin sumo wrestler, he broke his arm over the sumo dudes head to knock him down then he used his arm like a club and repeatedly beat his fuckin head in til they called the fight 3:26 (broke his arm doin that too, someone else had to fight for him in round3..one of the Gracies if I remember right haha)

Think the only rule they had backintheday was you couldn't kill your opponent
Vermithrax]AMG, so good!! Bare knuckle badasses. They still have shit like this in Brazil. You can find it online if you try. I'll see if I can dig some up.
Rio Warrior is the name of it.
My 2 cents on Silva; he knows he is unbeatable when he applies himself. He's been fighting for a very long time and been on a UFC victory streak since 2006. 7 years later, he has held the belt in numerous title defenses, locking out the weight class and making for a pretty boring division.
Fast forward, 7 years of title defenses - you no longer have anything to aspire to. You're at the top looking down. I bet it's pretty flippin' boring.
Things are different when you have a raging fire inside of you to propel you farther and push you beyond limits you thought were possible. That is clearly gone by his comments regarding "I no longer fight for the belt".
Hopefully this means he will jump divisions, do a Bones Jones or GSP fight.
Personally, I don't care about the belt. I don't care about divisions. I want to see two men or women go out and give it their all to be the best.

Blame the Gracies when they sold out to SEG.
UFC 12 saw the introduction of weight classes and the banning of fish-hooking. UFC 14 gloves became mandatory, while kicks to the head of a downed opponent were banned. UFC 15 saw limitations on hair pulling, and the banning of strikes to the back of the neck and head, headbutting, small-joint manipulations, and groin strikes. UFC 21 five-minute rounds introduced at UFC 21.
