I saw the commercials for it and like many of the new shows coming on History Channel, the commercials look bad-ass. I just worried if the show would suck in the end, like most History shows on their now do. So, I avoided it.
Was it good?

I liked it too, only got to see the first episode on xbox. But so far the story is set up well and the action that was in it was good.

I don't watch the previews and then ignore the History channel the rest of the week. Makes the experience much better come showtime. heh
Shield wall was badass! One guy learned how not to use his spear. And if you watch the fight as it progesses they unshield their legs and not a single Saxon thinks to jab some thighs.

I like how they opened the shield wall just briefly and let a couple guys in and the pk's in back just owned the fuck outa them.
