Vermithrax]Being a libertarian, I'm not big on the idea of more government regulations, especially of constitutionally protected rights....that said though, I do firmly believe that any history of mental illness or psychiatric treatment should preclude you from ever owning a firearm.
You hear the story of the government class where representatives from the Republican and Democratic parties are present, along with a Libertarian?
A student asks about gun control, and the Republican and Democrat give their canned, all-too-familiar stump speeches. The class turns to the Libertarian, and he says, "well, gun control is a powerful issue. And the Libertarian stance on gun control is that two hands should always be used when discharging a firearm."
Ha. I think half the class switched party affiliation.
