Damn, really surprised at how much they miss with the machine gun.

To all you virgins, thanks for nothing.

Not only are they firing from a minimum of 2-3km away... They are moving.. And its 30mm... Wind etc. effects those rounds, that shit is hard. For instance its considered pro if you can hit a stationary target with a m240g at 1km. So for the distance these guys are shooting at.. Actually pretty effective. Also 30mm has splash damage..

TL:DR If you're within 10 feet of where one of these shells hits, it's a bad fucking day for you.

The 30mm M789 HEDP is the primary tactical round of the Apache AH-64 helicopter, widely used in current combat operations. The Apache’s ability to provide accurate air support with minimal collateral damage led to increased use and volume demands for M789 ammunition. The M789 is typically used in the M230. Each round contains 21.5 g (0.76 oz) of explosive charge sealed in a shaped-charge liner. The liner collapses into an armor-piercing jet of metal that is capable of penetrating more than 2 inches of RHA. Additionally, the shell is also designed to fragment upon impact. The lethal radius against unprotected, standing targets is about 10 ft (3.0 m) under optimum conditions. The M789 requires about 2 seconds to travel 1,000 m (3,300 ft). However, as the shell slows down, it takes over 12 seconds to cover 3,000 m (9,800 ft).
