Steam - Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers.

It is worth the $10. Go buy it and try it out. Magic the Gathering is normally garbage, but they turned it into a balanced/fun pvp game with this version. It is like street fighter, but with intense strategy. Solid metacritic score as well.

Edit: I played the game until I became #1 in the world, but then I quit to try other things. However, the game is definitely worth trying out. If you have any strategy questions for this or other games you can hit me at on steam. Nickname: MrGameTheory.

haha, I actually played the xbox version and it was fun as fuck, but super repetitive since it's always the same decks\cards. No way am I going to let them milk me for extra $$$ for new cards either.

I tried this thing because of boredom never played this crap before.

I tried the demo and the only entertaining part of it was trying to beat the cheating ai that always seams to kick your ass and pull out cards when you get something good. The ai cheats so bad its not even fun. The lowest i got the ai down to was like 4 points and i have like 15 then it comes back and kicks my ass its total bs game sucks

Sure it's not just you? I rarely lost to the AI and unlocked every deck. Having the right color deck against certain opponents makes a huge difference!

you must be a magic god then. I finally beat that kor dude but had to get lucky as shit and get 2 serra angles and 2 of those machete things. And this time that dick didnt destroy the equipment. Because every time i drop a good card the dick blows it up with that card that does crazy damage. The ai just happens to have the right card at the right time. That ai cheats like a mother fucker. But I got better at figuring out when to block and when not to attack thing. But still the game has alot to do with luck and what cards you get, guess its like any other card game really.

I got to say it got addicting but like i say i dont know if it was becuase i wanted to beat that fucking cheater ai or it was actually fun. Something to pass the time i guess.

Part of the game is playing the cards. Part of the game is picking the appropriate anti-deck with the appropriate deck edit. If you pick the appropriate anti-deck/deck edit when you play an opponent, whether AI or human, you receive a slight advantage, but you can still lose if you play someone who knows what they are doing. I out-foxed serious veterans consistently and so luck is more limited then people believe. Try illusion at first and learn how to edit your deck and it will be more fun.
