Why must we have so many games that are all the fucking same? Would be nice to get one ww2/modern FPS that isnt all stupid fucking levels, perks, unlocks and run and gun stupidity. One of the things that made CoD 1 and 2 so cool, at least in my opinion, was the fact that you had to advance and running and gunning the advance got your shit dead. Now the games, mainly because of the stupid fucking consoles, is becoming more of an arcade shoot em up than anything else.

Just read an article where they said BF3 can support up to 256 players in 1 map, but do to design & fun of the game they will limit it to 64. However, that probably means there will be some pretty big modded servers smile

Same article also said the new engine allows for terrain deformation in more realistic ways. Like they said if there was an earthquake you could see the ground separating and rocks rising up and shit.

They want the physics to be a more realistic version of bad company 2. When every game and their mother is making high quality graphic CoD clones, the gameplay really makes a huge difference. BF series always seems to know whats up when it comes to gameplay > graphics.

One thing I liked about the little bit of bad Company I played was the maps. They are pretty well designed, nice and large and buildings being damaged and collapsing was pretty damned awesome.

I sort of lost my love affair with military FPS mmo's. It's all just the same shit now.

Really Redundant. Die in a couple shots, respawn, rinse, repeat. That spoof video you guys posted is EXACTLY how I feel about the latest release FPS's. There's really nothing to keep me playing.

My favorite FPS mmo of all time was the Tribes series. It had the same pitfalls as above, but there was so much variety to the game play, it made up for it. And the map customization was limitless.

At least in UO, Darkfall and like games, I can amass wealth, loot the people I kill, own homes, etc. And of course, grief other players. How do you grief in a military FPS mmo?

I don't have enough time to play to ever be on a leaderboard for those FPS's, so what do I get from being "good" and killing lots of people in today's standard run of the mill FPS? Nada.
