I'm in agreement with you on most everything you said, and I don't even smoke bud.
In addition I would add that marijuana is a gateway drug. How many people you know that smoked pot and stopped there? I'm not sayin it never happens, but it's rare. Most people continue on from there. For me, it was acid, E, and coke. This was in my teenage years of course.
I feel that if you legalize it and take away it's "taboo", less kids will do it out of rebellion. Consequently, I think less kids would then be moving on to harder drugs.
I went with E and Acid first... tried pot years later and didnt like it at all. Pot is the beer of the drug world. Taste like shit and gives you a shitty high.
