The #1 dispensary in California pays $500,000.00 a year in taxes alone. If he doesn't have to pay taxes, it's only because the disp he's supplying is taking a chance and doing it under the table, which happens a lot and imo is pretty disconcerting to the people trying to make it a legit business/industry.
Dispensaries have been called the new "gold rush" since they've been around. Still investing billions of tax payer dollars to prevent something the majority want legal. Marijuana busts trump all other busts when it comes to volume, no one is saying "make all drugs legal".
I don't really understand why it's even a topic anymore, subtracting money invested specifically against weed and adding the taxes that could be paid from it has never really added up to make sense to me. The arguments remind me a lot of prohibition, it would make accessing weed more safe, controlled, and social. A buddy of mine (who's garage is posted above) runs a cannibus club (requires same ID as dispensaries) where you can look at a menu, choose what type of weed platter you want and chief on a hukka while you check your email or what not. Kind of a internet cafe/hukka bar, with a stage for bands to play on weekends (who also need the ID's).
