I sort of lost my love affair with military FPS mmo's. It's all just the same shit now.
Really Redundant. Die in a couple shots, respawn, rinse, repeat. That spoof video you guys posted is EXACTLY how I feel about the latest release FPS's. There's really nothing to keep me playing.
My favorite FPS mmo of all time was the Tribes series. It had the same pitfalls as above, but there was so much variety to the game play, it made up for it. And the map customization was limitless.
At least in UO, Darkfall and like games, I can amass wealth, loot the people I kill, own homes, etc. And of course, grief other players. How do you grief in a military FPS mmo?
I don't have enough time to play to ever be on a leaderboard for those FPS's, so what do I get from being "good" and killing lots of people in today's standard run of the mill FPS? Nada.
