yeah, they keep making being a truck driver worse and worse. there's nothing to keep people doing it because you can't make any money from it now as 'by the book' keeps making it so, and contracts aren't changing so there's no additional money companies can offer their drivers or incentive to do it. most drivers now are extremely fresh to the job (1-2 years) and don't know how much it sucks to get out of it yet. pretty high turn-over rate with a constant attrition which is prolly why they're talking about it in the first place.
