Yeah, they found a dude to replace him that actually looks a good deal like him.
Show is badass. Never seen so much tit and blood in one place at one time. First couple episodes of the first season weren't great, but it found it's feet pretty soon after and the finale was insane!
Second season (prequel) is off to a good start.
