So I get a call from 520-548-2486 they say they wanna lower my CC interest rate. So I hit 1 and tell them my name and answer a couple questions and when I ask them who they are they hang up.

The stuff I gave them was not anything more than my name really. So no worries but I look them up on google and man tons of people are being called by them and being hung up on.

So I wonder what the hell these guys are up too and I know it can't be good being they pretend to be your CC company.

Reported them to the Federal Trade Commission via their website. Not really fullfiling as it just says ok thanks.

So I reverse lookup the number and see it's an ATT wireless account. So I called ATnT and pitched a fit to them. Thinking of calling the local authorities in Tuscon AZ after ATnT gets back to me. Apparently some manager of the customer support person will call me back.

reminds me of that dude who had a bill by dial scam.

basically he had a line in another country, and it was set up to call and give you a recording telling you to call a 1-800 number (or 888 or something), regarding a family member. people would call it and get stuck on hold as long as they would remain on the line and not hang up. people were being charged for the call by minute racking up anywhere from $20-$200 depending how long they waited. don't remember the end result exactly as this was a few years or more ago..but i'm certain the guy didn't get in trouble for it as it didn't violate any existing laws from the country he had the dialer/receiver set up at. pretty sure customers weren't held accountable for the charges and their carriers covered the payments so the guy still got monies. lol.

You have a name of the company? Google them. I was getting calls on my cell from U S Fidelius, that scam car repair insurance bullshit. It basically took me setting up a demon dialer on my old commie 64 to constantly dial their customer support number tying up their lines to stop them from calling me.

Nothing illegal about debt consolidation solicitations. Your number was probably uploaded to a data bank via something you bought or put out on the web or sold by one of the credit bureaus. Just ask to be removed from their list.

High debt to income ratio? It's probably the credit bureau's way of saying quit sucking on someone's tittie.

Every time I told them I wanted removed after calling them, they would just hang up. Next day, another call, from a random state that had a disconnected number.

Looked them up as best I know how. They are a ghost out of Tuscon AZ. Prob. pack up their stuff and move every week or something I dunno. When you call them back it's busy. But they can call out of the number all day long. ATnT never called me back I assume I am being ignored.
