Wow, my lil' buddy post got one of my ol' buddy's to show himself after so long!
Where have you been son?
About your post though... Bush had a 90% approval rating during his first term much higher than Obama has ever managed to sprout up. You are giving Obama a little more credit with his current approval rating. His current "approval rating" has been lingering in the mid-upper 40's for several months now mostly around 46-47. We all know that approval ratings always tank towards the end of a presidency. Hell, Truman one of our very good presidents left office in the 20's...
Please don't even go into the talk of the filibuster though, lol... Democrats are creating the obstacle to get any piece of legislation passed. The democrats have a HUGE majority in both the senate and house(much bigger in the house). Republicans can vote no on any piece of legislation and it wouldn't matter one bit so long as enough democrats vote for it to prevent a filibuster from happening. I have no idea where you come up with this analogy at involving the filibuster.
I am not a fan of the republican spending spee that went on during the Bush years. However, it's NOTHING compared to the Obama 3x Bush deficit record... The highest deficit Bush ever pumped out was around 500 billion. That is hardly anything compared to an almost 1.5 trillion record deficit.
