I know up herein canada it was conservative vs liberals and I only voted conservative because liberals did nothing for so long and I wanted change, even if it was shitty change. Conservatives came in, lowered GST by 2% (i think at this moment its 2% less) and hell, atleast I saw something happen. No idea if it helped or made everything worse but atleast something happened.

They lowered the gst by 2% and added an equivalent amount to the deficit. Now they say they are going to cut programs (think your healthcare) to cover the deficit they created! Yeah great change, can't wait for more.
The Liberals paid the deficit down and had us running a surplus for years. Its true that they did nothing I guess, nothing bad.
