I'm 5 chapters into the game and the graphics and sound are amazing, especially on a good home theater.. It's a very different game because it's so linear that it feels like you are just watching a movie, but a good movie. This commercial sums it up. It succeeds in what it's trying to achieve and definitely something you need to play, but it's blurs the line between game and movie.

I'm almost finished with the game and you don't need to have played the first one to understand the story. Some characters from the first game appear but they do a good job of explaining who they are and making this a separate adventure.

I disagree. Anyone who owns a PS3 should rent this game. It's an amazing game but there is low replay value.

For the month of September, we sold 575,771 PS3 units beating Nintendo's Wii for the first time and solidly outselling Xbox 360s (both competitors also had price drops).

That's expected due to a new SKU and price drop, but I wouldn't expect those numbers to keep up.
