it seems like a decent idea but you could probably buy a solar unit w/ a DC hookup and it might be safer...
Approx. 110 dollars for Solar Panel w/ DC hookup. Not iPhone proprietary, so can be used for other items too. Also, the ghetto addition of the "R" on the youtube video on that site suggests... well... ghetto.
