if you think p90x is garbage, what do you reccommend/ or think is viable instead?
Depends on your goals.
For strength or overall conditioning I'd say give Eric Cressey's "Maximum Strength" a shot, very good routine: http://www.amazon.com/Maximum-Strength-S...7814&sr=8-1
For just strength I'd have to lean towards Jim Wendlers 5/3/1 you and look up his book or check out this free article for the gist of it: http://www.tmuscle.com/free_online_artic...d_pure_strength
For mass/size I'd say hop on an 8 week cycle of some test and deca and bust ass for the next 5 years of your life.
Honestly any sort of bodypart split would work for size or hypertrophy training. Moderate to high reps for isolation movements mixed in with some heavy compounds (squat, deadlift, bench.
Like I said initially, diet is key, regardless of the goal (size, strength, or conditioning).
rofl, are you serious? We're talking endurance and real strength. If you want to look like a roided up gorilla I definitely suggest reading those books. If you want to be able to outlast, outwork, and destroy those same guys who can deadlift 500 pounds. If you don't care either way and want to casually work out, then anything will work BUT those books.
