Best friend who goes with a movie reviewer to most movies in the city hes in has been to it twice already. Absolutely loved it. Def gonna watch inglorious too but thats a given. Love the fact that they didnt have to use a major production house and peter jackson gave a ton of money to Neill Blomkamp and told him to get as creative and sci fi as he wanted and it sounds like without using major name actors they actually made a badass movie with a good story. Peter was like Neill is one sci fi geek and he went wild on this.

Bal and I saw this today. I was big time impressed. Was a fun as hell, great movie.

A few questions about the story but overall way more then I ever expected out of a film I heard nothing about.

i have talked to prob 8 diff people who have seen it and loved it completely. There have been some under the radar really good movies recently like a downloadable one "hurt locker" which is about a iraq bomb squad that dealt with a majority of the bombs out there. kept me on the edge of my seat every 15

now for inglorious then some woody harrelson in zombieland!

Just saw District 9 and was very surprised to have liked it. I'm not usually a sci-fi guy, but I went because my wife and kid wanted to see it. I came away from it very glad I got talked into going. Very cool story done in a very cool and unique way. Previews make it look like it's all effects and no story, but in this case, I think the two were in a great balance. Definitely recommend this one. Also, did they leave it wide open enough for a sequel? lol damn!

Also, I will be seeing Inglorious Basterds on Friday for sure, can't wait! I did see the previews for that Woody movie with the zombies, looks hilarious. "You're like a giant cock-blocking machine designed in some secret government lab!"

Saw it on Monday, damned good movie.Cant believe a good movie like this has made less than GI Joe... ok I lie, I believe it because most of the US audience are fucking retards.
