some interesting things to note if you're considering it.

This is probably the best madden release ever.. still not better than ESPN 2k BUT its close...

One cool feature is the Co-Op play.. not sure why Madden won't fucking make the game so it can be 2v2 to 4v4 like the espn 2k had it... maybe this co op is their first step and the next one will?

Would be pretty cool if they had seperate rattings for stuff like that and a ladder system similar to Bnet imo.

They fixed the defense blitz issues that were present in last years addition where you really couldn't sack the QB for shit.

Alot of the game has been slowed and comes off more realistic/smooth... kick returns aren't a garunteed 30+ yard line anymore.

They got rid of the stupid power abilities under the players feet.. again adding to the realism obviously making it LESS noob friendly which is good.

The QB can now feel pressure in the pocket.. the controller vibrates and your QB gets slowed a little bit until you get to a safer distance from the incoming defender.

You can actually run the ball inside and outside now.

One thing I don't like is the "fight for a fumble" it basically brings back memories of playing a wrestling game where you smash a bunch of keys on your controller to not get pinned. The screen flashes different buttons and you have to push them as fast as possible.

But it seems somewhat fake because alot of situtations it happens you can clearly see who actually recovered the football before this shit starts..

No more gay inzone dances controlled by the player which is nice..

The games sped up.. but has longer quarters to make it still roughly 50min online games. So for instance it makes the offensive player hike the ball faster because when they leave the huddle it automatically takes off 10-20 seconds of the play clock + game clock this way people can't change their plays 4 times and call 18 hot routes..

Very good change imo, but some times it's a little to much when you need to change a play you're rushed to call the play.. then again.. very realistic.

I'm about 6 games in now and as far as the madden series go I'd give this a 9/10.

I am hoping my copy arrives around Wednesday, I will do a full season then jump online so should be on next weekend.

First madden release I've played 10+ online games and haven't been jewed by some fucking retarded play/bug/freeze.

sweet I'm trying to get some free time to jump up in the ranks I'm hovering between 3,000 and 4,000 right now.. If I put some time in this weekend I can probably get into the top 1,000 pretty easy.

Oh man the new madden is sick. Hopefully I have time to play more, but I played a couple games, damn. Great music, great feel, features, detail, smoothness, options... shit everything.

I will be able to win with the team eventually but for now I am 0-2.....

lol... well the niners are gimp irl and they nerfed every stat for every player this year because they added more stats so now when they get averaged out players don't have 99 or 98 anymore.

Like always Dallas is OP, played them a couple of times last night.
Minnesota D is also really underrated.

I think I can win with them but it will take me a couple of weeks to get it done.
