There is no bigger picture when it comes to what you think is a better game, because it only relies on you. I mean have you ever picked up a game over another one because you've said to yourself "Well, more people play this one..... so i'll pick this! The general public can't be wrong right?!........ right?"
It's definitely up to you Ty, you can pick your games out by which has bigger sales, but I for one will chose my games with my own judgment without listening to everyone else.

lol but this is the thing.. your basing the "best mmo" on your opinion.. clearly it should be based on subs I mean so what if I liked SB better than WoW.. the game design was different maybe more fun for me.. but trying to deny WoW is the best MMO ever is really absurd...
How can you argue with its success? I'm not arguing personal tastes here.. I'm arguing success.. its clearly a better game based on that so what if I don't like it and so what if you or LoD doesn't like it.
If SB and DF were better games they would have had more subs plain and simple.
edit: try to remember this whole thread started with Obs trying to say the guy gave WoW an 8/10.. it didn't start with me saying WoW is the ultimate pvp game, it's just simply better for more people clearly a better game over-all because of that.
Think how badass SB would have been if they actually had 9 mil subs? DF is the same thing if they actually had full servers it would probably be fun for more people. SB and DF could neither fill and keep servers full.. how can we say they are the best games?
The only PVP game you could throw in here and it could hold its weight based on subs is UO and I wouldn't even argue that because it was clearly the best at the time.

I don't think anyone is arguing that from a business perspective that WoW wins hands down. Doesn't change the fact that for me (and I'd extend this to the majortiy of the PvP community), the game has very little to offer. It just means there are a lot more PvE-ers than PvP-ers. *shrug*

2. Yes I am going to base what I think is the best .... because guess what? Saying something is the best is you going on your OPINION! If things were just "clearly based" on numbers guess what the 2nd "best mmo" is, fucking Disney's Toontown...

Are you going to get marriage advise from a guy thats been divorced 8 times? No, so why would somebody here (that normally likes PvP more than anything) take the word of a guy that rates WoW 8/10..
4. "It's just simply better for more people" ... Should I care what other people like in a video game? I don't make video games, I simply play them when I have the time. Which brings me to the question of how you buy your games. Since you argue that Most subs/sales = best game. Do you only buy your games by how many it's sold so far?

The guy doesn't have to like WoW to realize it's not some shit game that deserves a 4/10.. I hate WoW and I'd easily rate it an 8 if I had his job as a reviewer. 4.
