wow you're right 3 months and the games already dead.. would have been a short lived fan club.. I mean we wouldn't even have had time to do our corporate bbq.

I'll bet you $2000 the game makes it to the 1 year mark. I'll bet you another $1000 that the US server makes it to the 1 year mark as well. Should be easy cash for Mr. MMO\business\consumer\ marketing expert over here. Replace those dollars values with whatever you can afford if that's to much for you. If $20, $10 is your budget than we can do that. I figure 9 months waiting for the result is worth a bigger payday though.

because i was just taking a piss and thinking about DF and wondering what exactly 'about to die' really means. there should be a timeframe. because all games (maybe besides wow because its designed to suck you in) will die eventually. someday they will no longer be a game and another will come along. SB, UO, AC, etc....all games that have died over the long years of MMOs. but i wouldnt take that bet DF will go on for at least a year and probably a good solid year after that before people start getting bored.
for Ty its win win, because eventually the game will die and he'll just be like "told ya so........." but its not a point of when it will die, its the time you put into it and the enjoyment you get outta it. but thats not why hes here anyway pissing in everyones cereal anyway

i know thats what i was trying to point out sorry im on not very much sleep. my point is saying DF will die without saying a timeframe like you so surely pointed out with that bet is a pointless argument because, like you said, all things will die eventually.
so for ty to say the game will die is like saying the sun will come out or the water will be wet.....its an obvious statement. but saying DF will not last 1 year, or 2 years, gives a timeframe that in those 1 or 2 years when the game is still alive and well we can all make fun of him.
look im just really tired and i think DF will last awhile but it wont go on for a long time so just go with it ok. jesus christ rainman im on your side okay lover boy just run with it

I think your missing my point.. I'm not saying that no one will play it or that they'll shut the servers down (granted I don't believe the NA server launch will ever happen) but what I've been implying is that the player base is so horribly low in game that its dead and not worth playing (if it ever was to begin with).
SB lasted for 7 years and it was quite possibly dead within the first 6 mo of its launch.. them or their investors being able to maintain 1-2 servers for a year or more would be a really stupid bet on my part.. they've already lost so much money on building that pos that it really doesn't matter now.
Obs trying to point out that people play when shit gets sieged.. I'm sure if shit gets sieged in SB today people would still show to defend it doesn't mean the games not dead.

Considering the player base is still just people that know from word of mouth, and following the project, the numbers may be getting smaller, but they have yet to advertise. They teamed up with Ikona Ihos S.A. to advertise, and do product distribution in Europe. with that, all Europeans will finally know the game is there.
Once they are done setting the NA-1 server up with GNi, I'm sure they will advertise, and do product distribution there as well. We still haven't seen an official release, so I'll also say "the numbers are getting low", once they have introduced the game to the two continents, and people actually start quitting.
