anyone who is willing to pay the price to balance and pay down these debts knows one thing...
The Congress is more concerned about "spending" to get re-elected at any cost to the long term status of not just the US but now the entire World economy.
I honestly do not think we will survive if we don't give a President a line item veto.
Raise my Taxes..but give the President ( I don't care who it is ) veto powers and all this Spending on pet "re-election" projects will cease and we will slowly take back our country.
Without it..I am frightened what will happen in the next 9 months to a year.

No truer word have been said, Republican or Democrat.
Both political parties have promised unsustaining promises in order to get elected. Their goal is to get elected.
They will promise you no taxes and unlimited benefits, and the stupid public chose between a never ending fountain of benefits, or tax breaks. Both are unsustainable.
I could promise you 50 million buck into your personal bank account every week. Do you stop to ask "where will it come form"? No, you just look as far as your nose, tops.
As a rich guy (couls you are a rich guy in this world), you want a handout. The poor guys wants one too. Everyone gets a handout. So who pays for it?
It is not a presidential line item Veto (Bush didn't veto issues that shorted the country), that is bullshit. Then you are down to whom the residing president panders to.
It is a matter of what you as an american want to do, don't pawn the responsibility off on the president (I didn't see you bitch on the tax cuts for rich folks so that proxy decision making is null).
You need to make a noise as an American. You need to lobby your representatives to push through tax hikes (I'm guessing you haven't done that lately). Till you do that, you have zero basis of value to comment, other then as a parasite on the nation (rich, poor or otherwise).
Remember, other nations have grabbed their nutsacks and are paying down debt. Are you less of a man as an american? Are you a national rapist who cares about this week only?
The longer you wait, the worse it will get.
I don't give a fuck if you are rich or poor in the end. Your nation is DYING and you are abandoning it as is everyone else.

Let's hypothetically say we flip the press on to monetize about 80% of our outstanding debt....
what do you think the run rate on year over year inflation would be for 5 years?

The same ones who said "no way ever" when in 3rd qtr 05 I said recession begins first quarter 08. This incudes PHD's in economics (what did they learn?), they all said I had no clue what I was talkin about. I closed ALL brick & mortar storefronts at the end of 05 due to this and was called a wack job by my buds (both republican & democrats). Business has been going solidly since (gee! look beyond the tip of you nose and see the obvious!). I'll stick to distributor level manufacturing globally and let someone else sweat the storefronts.

Like I said..Raise my taxes. Raise them and stop fucking spending it. Raise them and stop handing it out on promises of entitlements.
Every "rich guy" like you say can deal with taxes if they do the right thing with the income of the Treasury.
Unfortunately they won't.

100% agree with ya. And it should apply to all, not just the rich (cough cough Dems). But they all have a habit of wasting the $$ on pork and lobbied crapola. They use the public treasury to buy their votes. They're bankrupting the nation. Quote:
