dude at work told me about this game and i looked at it on youtube, apparrently it's the 1st game to tie xbox live with pc online...wondering if anyones played this game or some impressions of it? looks pretty cool from the youtube videos i've seen

it's ok.. i played it about a year ago and while it was fun to pass the time, I wouldn't see myself playing it long term..

however, I did play it on xbox and i hate console fps' with a passion

i hear that, but it being available on the PC is kind of nice. looks sweet, spells + guns, and when you die you only lose guns..so whatever you do to beef up your spells sticks. sounds pretty sweet and the gameplay kind of reminds me of magestorm but w/ guns also.

i played the sega genesis game when i was like 10 and it rocked my world, does that count?

It took me about 30 seconds to realize that your title said "shadowrun" not "shadowbane"

Shadowrun is one of my top 3 list of FPS games. I loved the game but unfortunately it wasn't a commercial success due to no single player mode. There were supposed to be new maps released and all sorts of support but the studio got shutdown. I still have my copy if you ever want to play.

I used to be into Shadowrun a shit load of years ago. Seems like it may be a bit shallow as an FPS and more of a MMORPG?

Anyhow, is it worth a look? I liked the storylines, races, decker/computer hacker stuff.

That's a common complaint. They shouldn't have called it Shadowrun, because it more of a stand alone.

what i hate about that game is it's assisted aim, and the fact it's too easy to be good at... it will hold your attention for about 2 weeks and leave you with a waste of $40... blah...
