So anyone here who voted for Obama want to enlighten me by explaining what it was you voted for OTHER than the fact he was the democratic canidate and you're a libral?

What view points do you agree with? What tax issues? Is his health care plan a winner? Besides getting out of Iraq what part of his "exit" strategy wins you over? Or of course any other issues you feel were voter worthy.

I challenge any of you who voted for Obama to answer just 2 of those

I am actually republican. I voted for Obama but all my other votes were republican.

There were several factors:

- Dissatisfaction with current administration on many levels. On some issues like the ones concerning the justice system- I am plain disgusted. I don't feel McCain is distanced enough from the people currently in office and I don't feel he would have changed much in the way things were run or who ran the government.

-McCain's poor judgment when picking aids and resulting candidate for vice-president. I felt it was a joke.

- Obama on the other hand picked the right people, used new ways to raise money, not from big lobbyists but from average people through the Internet. Which I think is more democratic.

- Based on how he ran his campaign, Obama seemed to me the candidate with more open mind, more likely to change things or to apply common sense and thinking to solving problems.

- As far as health care reforms- I don't like either plan that much but again, I feel Obama would be more open mined to the problem and has better chance of getting it right. Also, he would have a better chance of passing it through the house and senate.

- I did not like the cheap tactics by McCain- like Joe the plumber stuff and all that parody.

- I felt that Obama is more compassionate to the average American than McCain. I felt he understood the need for change more. McCain didn't know how many houses he owned. I think it's because he is either hands-off running his household or just too old to keep up with stuff. Either way, I wouldn't entrust an entire country to him.

holy shit, i agree with Asp...has to be a first...

I am a self admitted, right leaning liberterian and i voted for Obama/Biden

1) Obama was the only candidate who addressed his shortcomings and surrounded himself with pros (i.e. intel and foreign policy = Biden; economy = Volker, etc.). McCain did not do this with any of his selections

2) i hate Bush. and feel that even though i may disagree with many of his social views, change can be good...

Everything before the "But" is more of the same...

However, everything after it makes sense. Based off your answer you think it has more to do with aligning to the Democratic Party than being racist. That's an acceptable answer and opinon.

We can raise money like pigs and get ourselves a Hispanic guy to run for President next Time as a conservative. Blacks 10% wait until we unleash the Vatos at 30% on the electorate.

Didn't Jesse Jackson run back in the 80's or something? *shrug* Not too worried about it, I was merely looking for people's opinions.

And for the record, anyone can be racist. Not just white people. I hope you don't have to find that out the hard way some day.
