What in the world are you talking about? Since when is payroll a deduction? Its called a cost Asp.

Let me give everyone here a fucking clue...a deduction or "write off" as you people put it does not pay you back what was spent. You don't get 100% back. You can write off...depending on the expense....up to 80% of certain business expenses....like meals with clients.

Now do the math. If I spend $1000 with a client and I can "write off" 80% do I actually get $800 back from the Government? FUCK NO YOU DON"T. You reduce your taxable income by $800. So if my company makes a $250,000 pre-tax profit and I can reduce that taxable number by $800 what does that get me back?

$250,000 x ( using Stretch's 35% because its an even number )= $87,500.

$249,200 x 35% =$87,220.

$87,500 -$87,220 = $280

This is the very very basics ppl. If I ever hear your dumb mother fuckers arguing write offs and deductions again I am gonna come to your houses and kill you with a sledge hammer because your a waste of oxygen.

I am not big on politics but I did hear Obama say he was going to get rid of bullshit spending/programs on things that we don't need that we spend a lot of cash on. Until the economy is stable he won't have jack to spend imo. For all we know we can stay in recession. We are far from fixed. The marlket fell 500 points today? Stretch you can unlock El presidente thread. Tks.

In the United States, the top marginal federal corporate rate for income over $18.3 million is 35% (it can be as low as 15% for income under $50,000). Most states also tax companies,[1] but the state tax is a deductible expense in calculating federal tax, so the overall tax rate is not simply the sum of the two tax rates.

See my example on deductions above and STFU.

Stretch,

All I can really say for you, since you seem to not understand where I am coming from is this.

When and if you ever get to a point in your life where you are actually responsible for other peoples lively hood, and job security. I can guarantee you will have a much new respect for what taxes are on a level that is not individual. You will not be on a internet message board arguing that tax rates are not 39%, then when found out they are arguing that a person should find better loop holes to jump through.

Hopefully you will have much better things to do, like running your business. I do hope one day you get there, and know what small business actually is. From reading your previous posts you seem to get confused on what is a small business as opposed to what is a muli-national corporation.

You seem to be very passionate about your ideals and how a business should work. Well get out there and create a few jobs. Its easy to sit back and read all day and learn to be a business person on paper. Its a whole new ball game when you actually try to do it.

Stretch, I am not arguing at all. You are. This all started when you posted that when Republicans are the minority they have morals.

I then asked you why do you think that democrats will have morals now that they are in the majority?

At which point you went on to attack me because you felt superior to me, and made all sorts of assumptions about my business, and my tax situation. I gave you real world experience that is happening to me, and my concerns for the new president and his policy.

And again, I asked the question as to why you feel its ok that tax's should be raised on small business to begin with?

Instead of arguing your stats, give me something from your experience. I am not here to argue with you or anyone. I am trying to understand what your point of view is.

Do you own a house? Do you have a 401k plan? Do you have any real assets? I guess what I am trying to get out, do you have anything to be concerned about?

Honestly why am I not pissed? Well because I am proud of what I have done, I am excited to see where I can go. And unfortunately I do not have the time or resources to hire lobbyist to wage battle for me.

You and I have a fundamental difference, I do not think the wealthy should pay a disproportional amount of the tax burden. And trust me on this, 250k is not wealthy by any means for a business. Where they came up with that number, well I will never know.

I mean if you come up with the next pet rock, and make a profit hand over fist, why should "punished" for coming up with the next great idea?

Ok I think you maybe a lost cause like everyone warned. And I say that because you have never once given me an opinion on why you feel the way you do. Instead you just whip out little gems like above.

Why do you think wealthy should pay a higher share than anyone else?

Does it not seemed fundamentally flawed that the more you make the more you are going to have to pay out of your pocket? When you could just do nothing, stay in a mediocre job, never strive for more, and be taken care of? That does not resonate anywhere with you?
