who knew?  For what it's worth, 95% of the time there is an election at the same time as there is economic turmoil, the incumbent always loses. What's also scary is the Dems picking up 25+ Senate and House seats. Oh boy...

Yup, can't blame America for wanting some sort of change, really can't. But now one party also holds all the chips literally (since the Dems picked up a ton of House/Senate seats), extreme the other way, I guess we'll see. At least now we might have a reprieve of Stretchisms since his party will be in power and he won't have anything to cry about. +1

Your selective memory is amazing. Clinton's budget was held in check due to a Republican Congress that actually meant what they said. Unfortunately they did lose their way. When does it stop stretch? You argue that Bush raised the deficit(true) However do you actually believe for a minute that the deficit will be a consideration under the incoming administration? Clinton tried to break the budget in his first two years. That is what got the GOP back in control. Obama would be wise to remember that.

What makes you think that the democrats will have values now that they are in control?
The principal of spreading wealth, that is something I can never understand? Why should a person who works hard to succeed in whatever they choose to do be punished by paying an unfair percentage of tax?
I for one own multiple small business, if Obama does what he says with increased tax's, increased capital gains, mandatory health insurance, I will not be able to keep more doors open on a single business. I will have to let over 40 families go. How is that helping out the American people?

I think it's your math that will lay off 40 families. I didn't vote for the guy, but I read Obama's tax plan completely and and you are blowing it way out of proportion. He is simply putting our tax rates back to how they were 10 years ago before Bush came in. If you have to lay off 40 families then there is something else wrong with your business.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. Currently the tax rate for my business is set at 39% under Obamas plan it would be raised to 50.3% that my friend is a huge jump. I manufacture equipment for rec and leisure. I still do it here in the states. I work on a small margin, but I can employee local workers.
If my business tax rate is increased 11% I could keep the doors open, yes. But if health care increases with that, no I can not. I have a few options. I can outsource to China, and get rid of 30 of the people who make the gear, and keep my office staff. Making more money for myself, but sacrificing the company I have built.
Really what other choices do I have? Maybe to you guys who are more business savy than I am 11% increase is not a big deal, but for my small business, well its huge.
