My airplane actually cruses about 200mph slower than the motorcycle goes unfortunatly. It's a flying snail. However I have been looking at one of these, and they are quite affordable starting at $400,000. http://www.pilotfriend.com/experimental/acft7/42.htm

The amazing part is only needing 2000ft of runway to land. The biggest drawback to jet aircraft is the ammount of runway needed limited where they could go. And yes that rate of climb is quite nice compared to the 500-800ft. per second my cessna does.

I have the cockpit videos, but they are not very postable considering each pass down the track is about 2gigs.
