Your income from these compared to man hours puts you on the line of an illegal immigrant on an orange orchard.

yeh i know, the money at this time sucks. but my other engraving Gun jobs just slowed down to a crawl, most of the people that i work for are "upper end" and there contracts for work or buissnesses are so slow that they want to wait for there work to pick up befor they give me more work. so i started carving coins to see how it would do in this market . but seems to be slow also. so if any one has some good job for driving heavy machinery for 20-25 bucks HR let me know it seems that the USA is in a crunch and no one is spending any $$ and daliy life seems to be going up in cost , such as gas prices and car repairs , food . looks like our government sends more money over seas to a WAR than it does to help the people in its own back yard (Home).

you keep selling those, i'll bet that you develop a small following, and prices might start to go up as people compete for coins they want in thier set. Also, you should advertise that you will do Custom coins to order (and set your price, so that it is worth your time).

They sell for $9 to $125 depending on which kind you have. You are probably carving their value away. Not to mention defacing currency which is illegal :P

about the law of Hobo ( 5 cent nickels) carving. is it un lawfull? here is a link to explain it. http://www.igraver.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2262&highlight=hobo+law and no its not against the law unless your selling the coins to be used as leagal tender. and the coins i use are only worth 29 cents to start with ( they are old and worn out) now if i had a ( rare 3 leged buffalow that would be difernet ) . the last coin i sold was $58.00 thats from a 29 cent coin
