Sorry, exactly what hypocrisy are you trying to highlight? Are you supposing that people think that waterboarding is bad and that cutting off fingers is cool? I'm not sure what your point is here.

Nope, the hypocrisy is the passion in which some people fight for terrorists rights, and how little they care for the treatment of their own people, caught in the same predicament.

You are incorrect: what you describe is not what is called hypocrisy. edit: Also, this is a straw man argument. The issue isn't "poor widdle tewwists getting watah boawdid <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />(((", it's "torture is an atrocity, period. We shouldn't do it. I live in a cave and don't even know what conflict you're talking about; nevertheless, torture is wrong."

And to an extent, yes some people will say that cutting off fingers is justified as a result of some terrorist being water boarded, and that that person deserved it somehow. Just like some people say we deserved being attacked on 9/11.

As someone else just said, anyone who actually says that is retarded.

The other hypocrisy is not liking news that doesn't fit the agenda, even though this news isn't even about one affiliation or the other.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Whose agenda are you talking about; what is that agenda; how does this conflict with their agenda such that they are ignoring this; and what other things would they supposedly not ignore?

1)Not yours
2)Ask them
It's not hypocritical to say it's terrible to do "x", then when "x" is done to us, that it's not a big deal? In a nutshell, I'm not referring to you, so may I suggest don't try and apply my posts as if I'm speaking to you directly.

No. You are trying to make some sort of point, so you must provide the evidence to prove it.

You can do your own data mining, I'm not interested in doing that. I can't speak for them, their posts speak for themselves.

In the beginning, there was Stretch? and then? there was Torak. Now if we could combine the two we would have some Moxie/Panemon intermingle

I'm still for torture.. these people that we "torture" have put themselfs into a situation where their information is more valuable than their life imo.
If torture is wrong then war must also be wrong because it also involves taking lives to save lives. What about the death penalty taking a life because life was taken?
Lets plant some trees and have a kumbiya.

I never said all wars were right.. I was refering to the idea of war which could be for the "health of the nation" and it might not.
I also could care less how much the death penalty costs, that by far is not the point I'm making. Also neither was the accuracy of the justice system.
You're welcome to defend your original point instead of trying to hijack mine to something completly different.

that the death penalty not only costs taxpayers more money than life sentences

I would like to see statistics on this statement. I admit I have not heard of this being the case, but it would suprise me ( albeit I am uneducated on the subject ) if this were true.
