Been know for years...
Bottom Line: Life in Prison One-Sixth as Expensive," Miami Herald, July 10, 1988
The California death penalty system costs taxpayers $114 million per year beyond the costs of keeping convicts locked up for life.
Taxpayers have paid more than $250 million for each of the state?s executions. (L.A. Times, March 6, 2005)
http://www.google.com/search?q=cost+of+death+penalty+vs+life+in+prison It's because we have too many faggets who think its in-humane to just shoot these fuckers with a bullet.. how much you want to bet thats going to save some money? lol.
Personally I think if the government started charging a $5 admission to watch a firing squad or a public hanging they'd probably help the local police raise enough money to do something about the over-all crime across this country.. but we should be bigger and not so in-humane right? I mean it's better to constantly be pulled down by our own civilization than actually do something about it even if some of you think its wrong. You only think its wrong because you're given the right to think that by living in america, and our country is becoming so ass backwards we've got to the point we'd rather shoot ourself in the foot and die a slow death than just make some drastic fucking changes and fix the problem.
You guys are all missing the big picture here talking about torture who gives a fuck.. even this fucking war we're in is nothing compared to the shit our country is becoming.. look at the major cities in america that are filled with crime/murder I'm sure there is a double digit amount of cities here in our own country that have had more people killed/ murdered than the whole iraq war with American casualties..
But yea torture should be a no-no and lets just keep locking people up for 100 years.
