There will be item decay, etc.
huge factor here i forgot to mention in previous post, the fact that getting looted isn't the only way you will lose your items is significant. we'll be back to having huge cashes of resupply gear, and a couple sets of 'badass' gear.
the most expensive/rare items will be mostly cosmetic.
other bonus i forgot about? gear dying is in. so char customization and 'colors and blood' will be back in business...a somewhat trivial factor that will on the flip-side attract more people to the game.
