neighbor had that trouble also. Took out the processor and put some fresh lithium grease under the heatsink and it ran fine.....for a few weeks anyway.
Eventually a transister fried and he tried to swap it out with one off of an old MB I had lying around...
anyway he now has a rather nice looking doorstop made by microsoft.
