anyone who owns an xbox 360, have you noticed if your machine shuts down suddenly? been having a problem with that recently, and pinpointed it as a shitty PSU... my buddy who owns a 360 has this problem as well, and im just wondering if other people are experieincing the same... my 360 is soft modded to plya backups and i play on live often, but this problem is recent,... so i dont think its a patch or anything...
anyone else have this problem? i heard about faulty psu's for 360's and tried raising it and plugging it into its own outlet, but it still shuts off.... just wondering if i should drop 100 bucks trying to buy a new powersuppply.....

only get that problem when my roommate plays battlefield midway. Otherwise its squeaky clean performance.

neighbor had that trouble also. Took out the processor and put some fresh lithium grease under the heatsink and it ran fine.....for a few weeks anyway.
Eventually a transister fried and he tried to swap it out with one off of an old MB I had lying around...
anyway he now has a rather nice looking doorstop made by microsoft.

The only issue I have had with mine is it locking up in certain games, madden mainley.

mines fine.. did you buy the system when it was launched? Seems like every next-gen system now has huge release problems that show up a year+ down the road. I never buy em on launch

Mine always gives me a disc error with certain games or locks up.

and it will just randomly freeze/shut off. You couldn't tell from touching/looking at it but we assume it's from overheating.

i got mine on release and it did run a little hot but overall i never had any problems playing madden or Oblivion or dvds on it. played a few other games like burnout but i think if Oblivion ran smooth on it, anything can. actually now that i think about it, i got mine 2nd shipment. i didnt get the orginal release, i got mine a week later 2nd shipment at EB games.
