I went hoping it was going to be like the beginning of Gladiator but it wasn't. Too much drama, too much posing, heavy emphasis on eye candy and thin content. Ah yeah, the hairdo of the surviving Spartan was gay too. It was a movie for kids and teenagers.

i liked it.. definitely.
I thought it was a bit overhyped though. when the blood is so obviously computer generated it's hard to get into the movie.
I thought the story was interesting and all but like others are saying..."It ain't no sin city"
I didnt feel ripped off after seeing it which usually I do if the movie isn't spectacular. That may be in part because I didn't buy the ticket but I guess we'll never know now.
btw that bigass persian king was a fucking freak.

I wasn't impressed at all. Than they played the same damn song at the end that was in gladiator. It also seemed to be too short. I liked the spear killings tho and the fight scenes where graphic.

Yah that was worth a laugh though! My wife said hey wtf isnt that from Gladiator?

With all those spears all I could think was "Paralyzing blow!!! "

The reason they did so much posing/story line was because of how long it took them to do their fight scenes. Watch the background actors in a fight scene and you'll see that Gladiator has people destroying air compared to this.
I personally liked the animated blood because I was expecting a comic book story.

The action seens were pretty awesome. The bad news is that the main star gets ganked Zerg style in the end.
However the good news is that DirtyLove and I are going to do a military structured ab routine to achieve the gayness of washboard abs displayed in this movie.

Actually it has a lot to do with personal preference. For example I would rather watch Chuck Ludell than Chuck Noris, or defense of LoD keep in early SB rather than well coordinated 40 player MC raid in WoW. Shiny armor, abs, playboy hair-dos and perfectly executed moves killing hundreds of people per second just didn't do it for me. And I think didn't do justice to the real event that happened.
