sin city = frank miller's imagination
300 = real historic event.
difference? he had to follow some sort of guidelines with 300 because its real. sin city was amazing, but you can't compare the 2 thats like braveheart vs die hard. both are badass, but one is fiction and one has a historical truth too it. aside from that they are the same director. you could tell that it was a frank miller. it did have a little comedy too it which i think was HIS twist to an other wise brutal history lesson.
